In a small saucepan, combine filtered water, pure maple syrup, fresh thyme sprigs, and a dash of ground cinnamon. Warm over medium heat until it begins to gently simmer.
Lower the heat and let the mixture steep for 3 minutes to extract flavors. Remove from heat and allow it to cool to room temperature.
Fill a cocktail shaker or mason jar halfway with ice cubes. Strain the thyme-cinnamon syrup into the shaker. Add freshly grated ginger and fresh lemon juice, then shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
