Raspberry Leaf Whole, European Wild Harvest

£8.92

Raspberries (Rubus idaeus) are popular red berries that are native to Europe and parts of Asia. Red raspberry leaf, or Rubus idaeus folium, refers to an herbal substance containing dried, chopped leaves that a person can prepare into tea. Raspberry leaf tea has been used over many years to treat certain ailments and to facilitate labour and childbirth. However, evidence for its benefits is weak and more research is needed to assess its efficacy.

To make raspberry leaf tea:

Bring water to the boil in a small pan and allow to cool slightly. Add 2 tbsp dried raspberry leaves, cover and steep for 15-30 minutes. Strain and sweeten to taste. If you wish to collect leaves to dry, they should be collected during or shortly after the plant has flowered.
